From the Shoebox: The American School, Tampico (c1917)

The American School [original building], Torreon Street, Tampico, Mexico. Photograph. c1917. Family Photos of William & Lois Judson. Privately held by Herstoryan, Houston, Texas. 2010

"The American School of Tampico was founded in 1917 by Americans who came to the region with the oil companies at the beginning of last century."

My grandmother, Lois Jacqueline Judson Wells, attended this school c1920s-1930s.

Click here to see the school's History page. Anything look familiar?

  1. Thanks for reminding us of these American schools. These records also hide our ancestor's within their walls.
