UNBELIEVABLE! UNBELIEVABLE! UNBELIEVABLE! I am speechless...Landailyn, you literally took my breath away when I opened my email!
A few weeks ago the amazing and uber-talented Landailyn of Landailyn Research and Restoration contacted me via her twitter account asking permission to use my Perkins Family photo c. 1906 as a tutorial. Talk about "random acts of genealogical kindness," her generosity and compassion have overwhelmed me. I received the finished restoration yesterday and cannot wait to share it with everyone tomorrow!
THEN today on twitter she said she was working on a "secret surprise" for me! I could have never imagined what she had in store. The above photo is of my great grandmother, Lois Warren Judson, on her wedding day 01 Dec 1914. I cherish this photo, but as you can see it has fallen victim to the merciless hands of time. Landailyn has breathed life into it that only a master can create! It is almost as if she is able to peer through a window only she can see with her artistic eye. Her love of family history shines through each carefully restored pixel! THANK YOU, Landailyn, from the bottom of my heart for giving my family this wonderful gift. It will be cherished for generations to come!
Please visit her website...you know, now is the time to think about Christmas gifts! ;)
Stunning - not only is it beautiful, but it really brings out the personality of the subject.

ReplyDeleteThat is an absolutely gorgeous photo. Lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThat is my great-grandmother, also. I'm the granddaughter of her son, Lewis Judson. I have the picture of her and the parosel hanging in my home. I also have a picture of her dressed in black sitting on a chair all alone when she was in her 40's or 50's.
